Kerk Phillips,this picture is really familiar to me,for I'm a girl who was born and grew up in Beijing.

This picture reminds me of my childhood.I was about 8 years old at that time,for you took it in 2001.Since China bid to host the Olympics successfully in 2001,it is a unforgettable year for Chinese,especially for Beijingers.

It seems that foreigners always regard China as a country of bicycles.In your picture,it is obvious that bicycles are widely used in Beijing.It is true that Chinese people have a special sentiment of bicycles.For me,the process of cycling is joyful.;)

Anyway,I'm glad to "see" you through your impressive pictures.I'd like to know something about your opinion of Beijing and Beijingers--from a foreigner's point of view.Can you,by any chance,answer my question?Please.
