Wat een geweldig mooie foto Wim, vooral het standpunt van waar je deze foto nam is heel goed. Lucht/wind/molen en molenaar in 1 beeld, mooi hoor.

Frank.

wat leuk zeg :) mooie kleuren ook

Wim Janssen on August 6, 2009

jopoloco and Isabel thank you both for the nice words on this photo. This was made of three separate shots stiched together. The problem was that the sails were turning in the meantime.

Greetings, Wim

Groeten allemaal, Wim

And thank you for the YS on this photo ☼ JAZZ and for joining this months NPC and viting my gallery.

Do you have this kind of clouds to on the Caribbean?

Best wishes, Wim

Wim Janssen on August 7, 2009

Hi ☼ JAZZ, I see you're a specialist in clouds. I go though my gallery to tag some too. But in the Caribbean I guess you have beautiful skies almost every day. And your cotton clouds sure do look nice.

Cheers, Wim

Stunning!

Wim Janssen on August 9, 2009

Thank you very much Denise. The miller did this specially for the photograph. There was no wind at that time. I made three quick shots and merged them together. As you look carefully you can see that the top has already turned some more then the bottom.

Greetings, Wim

Wim,

Excellent windmill shot and wonderful colours!

Best wishes, Gabe

Wim Janssen on August 18, 2009

Thank you Gabe. We had some very nice sky as you can see. As you maybe read this one was made of three separate shots stitched together.

Best wishes to you too,

Wim

Wim So it is an HDR or Panorama? Anyway till I get the answer,I vote for it. It just should have it!

Gabe

Gabor Retei on September 4, 2009

BTW Did you know that Caribbean ☼ JAZZ gallery was removed? G

Wim Janssen on September 6, 2009

Thank you for the vote Gabe. Its just a stitch, like we do on a panorama, but then in the vertical direction. This one was made by three shots. It was not easy to stitch them together because in the mean time the sails were turning a little. You can see it on the upper one. Its not in straight line with the lower one.

I did it for two reasons.

I wanted to catch the sky and the miller in action in one shot. But I could not go back to create the distance for that.

The other reason it to equalise the strong light contrast between the sky and the foreground. Like we do in HDR. But now done with two different exposed shots.

Yes I followed the sad story of Jazz in the forum. Very, very sad...

Greetings, Wim
