very nice shot !!
greetings from germany, thomas
Well done Marilyn. The angle of the falls, the tree-frame in the foreground; you've composed it very well.
I've hiked here, probably 15 years ago, but the scene never changes. Another nice photo!
Thank you, Thomas, Hank, and Milo.
There are two viewing points from which to see the falls--this one and another that's something like 154 steps lower. (Hugh went down to that, but my knees said No! It changes the angle slightly but not much.) Thus the main choice a photographer has to make is whether and how to frame. I'm glad, Hank, that you like the results. It seemed to me to add depth and interest to the "standard" shot.
Milo, it is a lovely area, isn't it? I'm sure you've enjoyed your explorations.
Thanks, Bruce, for your comment. When (not if!) you get there, be sure to pick up a copy of the Transylvania County (Brevard, NC) map/leaflet called "Land of Waterfalls." (Their website is www.visitwaterfalls.com) It has small pictures of and good directions to 21 waterfalls in the county! I can't do the hiking to most of them, but you'd have a wonderful time--and I'd sure like to see the photographic results!
Bruce, good luck with the weather. I look forward to the results!
Beautiful Marylin, I got the same shot!
Lovely place, isn't it? Thanks for stopping by.
