very nice!! looks like a great day to be traveling in this part of town.
As one crosses Donner Summit (yes, that famous Donner) in California, the freeway hops across the Truckee River a number of times. I kept seeing some really pretty little passing views, and decided that I had the time to enjoy the view a bit closer. The river is kind of low right now, and winds along through old wear lines, in what looks to me like jasper rock. I'm probably wrong, but the red color has that look to me. As you can see in the map view, this is right beside the Interstate 80 as it wends its way through 100 miles of the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
Awww, man. The clarity and distinction here makes it looks as if you used a 4x5. Awesome.
Sorry that I posted in under you, Don. It was a perfect day, to be sure. That's part of the reason that I decided to stop. I could live anywhere between Truckee and Grass Valley on I-80 in California. It's simply gorgeous as far as I'm concerned.
Wow, thanks for that one, whoelius. Most kind!
Very nice place and photo. Greetings John.
Greetings and thanks to you, too, John.
I like the new colour treatment n1w, very vibrant. Suits the scene very well.
