Nice and warm tones, lovely sight! Looks very refreshing to hike there!

A great photo, Larry. I just completed a trip to the Sky Line Drive in the Shenindoa Park of Virginia, but am too old for hiking there. I have walked many miles though, in my career as a Land Surveyor. I will be putting up some photos of the park in a few days.

Regards, Cleo

Thank you for your comment Cleo.

I know a few land surveyors, and they have provided me with much history and where to find records, some of which have sent me off trail in search of interesting places.

Best regards, Larry

I wish that I could still be out in the field on surveys, Larry, but now have younger men doing that for me. I have surveyed in Iowa, South Dakota, Nebraska, and Florida, before moving to New Jersey 22 years ago.

After an exhausting hike up a steep trail, crossing a foot log brings you to the enchanting world of Spray Park.

Observation Rock (just to the left of Mount Rainier) appears in 12 (including this one) of the following 15 photos.
