On the edge of Canberra in 2003 bushfires destroyed much of Mount Stromlo's observatory, including 5 of the 6 telescopes. The artist used the damaged steel from these telescopes to sculpt this tribute.

Ze zijn nog bezig met de herbouw. Geen grote telescopen meer, ze richten zich op andere initiatieven. Dit is een van de nieuwe aanwinsten.

Hubble is onlangs gerestaureerd en straks krijgen we een grote telescoop op Antarctica...

Ze hebben onlangs wat plastic sprieten aangebracht aan dat aureooltje om de vogels te weren, ze mikte anders precies in het gezicht zoals je ziet.
