I left a vote here about an hour ago did you get it? I got sidetracked and forgot to leave a comment with it.

Hi not1word!!!

Im here again to vote this Magical shot...

Big huge from Portugal,

Conquilha

PS: The title you gave is very poetic, Congratulations. In Portuguese we say "Nuvens Salgadas".

mardrl on September 13, 2009

Hi n1w. Voted. This is really a cool shot.

kamalyn on September 13, 2009

ooooohhhhhh dear. It looks like I have to be the one to break the bad news:

The Most Esteemed Mr. Not1word received an Honorable Mention award for his magnificent entry of a Smoke Stack in The Contest for June. That means he is no longer eligible to be Voteded for any further contests!!

No matter that this is a most worthy Unusual Location or not. :'<

and of course that is regrettable due to the Most Excellent Title here, as well.

Conquilha on September 13, 2009

Really bad news......In my opinion Panoramio have to create other way to vote and a anual prize..

So sorry not1word ...This one is really a several shot to win any contest...But...Rules are rules...

They've quit delivering my mail, Guy, plus, there's that additional little "bit" that kamaly mentions. Thanks, just the same! Very kind of you.

Hello, Conquilha. I really do appreciate your stopping back to vote for this. It's very nice of you to do so, plus you leave very nice comments, too. My best greetings to you!

Thank you very much, Margot. I do enjoy the big vistas that I get out here.

Gloom. Despair. Agony. Well, what's a bit of passing fame between friends, eh kamaly? The mantle of the VOTED has been lifted from my sagging shoulders, and passed on to more sturdy backs. On the other hand (he wore a glove. My dad used to always say that, a small inside family joke, as he only had one hand.), it's nice of you to stop in with your very nice additions. It's all fun.

kamalyn on September 13, 2009

Oh dear. Did you not have any secondhand stores nearby?

not1word on September 13, 2009

LOL! My dad would have loved that one, kamaly.

someGuyinmasset on September 14, 2009

Groan!

Sorry n1w, I guess I'll have to take my vote back because of your previous success, but I'll be sure to pass it on to someone worthy of it.

Bits-n-Pieces on September 14, 2009

LOLOL, Guy - you're just envious because Kamaly came up with that one first!

and lol, whew! n1w! I wondered about that reply, but remembered you'd once told us of the delight he'd get out of surprising people with the gloved hand, so figured the little joke would be OK.

someGuyinmasset on September 14, 2009

Actually Bits, I thought she came up a little short-handed.

not1word on September 14, 2009

ARG! My voteds are disappearing! Halp!

Not to be worried, Bits. It was almost a prop for his life, sometimes. He got a lot of fun out of messing with people with it. When he first got it, he learned how to manipulate it really fast, and without a lot of extra body or shoulder movement. When he finally came home, he told everyone that he had to lift his leg to open it, then he would demonstrate. He was really careful for a good bit of time, always remembering to lift that leg. Then a neighbor girl asked him to show her how to ride her bike, thinking that it would be funny to watch the hook opening and closing fast as he rode along. Well, it didn't, and she hollered foul.
