1945, after the 2nd World War, the German population had to emigrate. The grandmother and their children after imigrierten Mecklenburg.

The parents of the mother:

The birthplace my father is in Hindenburg (Zabrze-Poland).

to: 53° 57' 21.74''N 12° 36' 54.68'' E;

There stood the castle of a Junker (large landowner).

The grandfather was in warcaptivity until 1946. In the Russian zone was land reform. The grandparents were farmers.

Thank you for sharing this information on your family. I have had a close look at GE and feel as if I have visited the villages.

The old history is still so evident in Mecklenburg, for so much of the land division is as it was and the many old buildings have been maintained.
