Johnny Unitas as quarterback at the University of Louisville from 1951-1954, completed 245 passes for 3,139 yards and 27 touchdowns. He was drafted in 1955 by the Pittsburgh Steelers but was cut. The following year he was picked up by the Baltimore Colts where he played until being traded to the San Diego Chargers in 1973. He retired in 1974 and was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1979.
