This looks exactly like the weeping angel at Stanford University, California.

I've just posted the only photo of mine that I could find of it -- I scanned an old paper proof sheet so it's not so clear. But it shows how similar these are. I also just did a quick Google search on "Stanford Weeping Angel" and got back a Wikipedia article that says the original is in Rome, and also this interesting article, at:

Thanks. I already checked it and it is quite interesting; never imagined such a story behind this kind of angels. For more reference: http://goinhome.com/2006/in-search-of-weeping-angels.html

The wikipedia article (the sculpture part, not the music stuff) is mostly mine and I very much appreciate the addition of this memorial to the colletion there. Life is supposed to be interesting. Einar aka carptrash

Oh! Good job. When checking this out, I saw a page about Angels of Grief in Texas. I'll bet they'd be interested in adding more than the one to your Wikipedia entry.

If they add anything it then becomes "our" article, and I hope this is what happens. Einar

If you go to www.myspace.com/awaltzphotography and click view pictures i have some great pictures of The Weeping Angel in New Orleans. I hear that there's only 3 in the world and they represent 3 sisters. at the bottom of the statue it say "Sisters". I would like to capture all 3 of them and frame them horizontally. Please let me know what you think.
