Hi Glen - Welcome to my gallery, glad you like this favourite of mine. I see that you too have a picture of these huts. Does that mean you are a local to Seaford? Cheers, Herb

ps, I have another of the same huts that you may be interested in.

Fabulous image Herb - the light is awesome. And the little girl on the bicycle is perfectly placed - even down to her shadow. It's quite amazing the amount of texture in the wood is revealed by the low light.

All the best, Bob

Thanks for this Bob and welcome to my gallery. Glad you like the shadows and lighting of this. Yes, I agree the girl was fortunate for me here. Cheers, Herb

Interesting composition, Great dusk scene!

The girl (or boy?) plays nice accent in the photo!

I love it, and 'BO', of course.

L! How come they all have exactly the same wooden texture? Is that a multiplication? Does not look like one...

Thank you for your comments, Herb. I am a Russian who have been living in US for over 20 years.

Herb Riddle on August 23, 2012

Hello Konstantin - thanks for the personal info, I was just curios and your answer fits the bill perfectly. OK- I was wondering when somebody was going to ask the question about the texture as you did. The answer is simple: these huts are NOT wooden -they are in fact some plastic type of structures with the texture, man printed on them (industrially)! Each hut was a slightly different soft colour, but I caught them here in this picture on an evening of a deep red sunset, reflecting the light, hence the overall warmth of the picture. They would have looked quite different an hour or so before I took this. Hope that is OK for you.

Cheers, Herb
