Thanks for the comment. I was aware that the Highlander was from Glenfinnan (read it in the wiki)... maybe he is the anonymous highlander at the top of the monument? May sound farfetched but since the Scots did erect a statue of Mel Gibson near the Wallace Monument... you can never know.

Here I just didn't want to make another movie reference right in the title of the photo... that honor goes only to the best movies or to when my judgement has taken the day off.

I guess we share the same opinion on the quality of the Highlander movie(s). The orginal one was ok but with every sequal and spin-off it went steeply downhill.

Now that you mention Gibson: William Wallace played by an Australian, Highlander by the American/French Christopher Lambert. Whatever happened to Sean Connery? ;-)
