In the background is the northern end of Santa Catalina Island, the low point near the copyright is Twin Harbors. This water way is known as the Catalina Channel and serves heavy shipping traffic into Long Beach Harbor at San Pedro. The shadow in the foreground is Laguna Hill at 936' (285 m). In the lower right hand corner is Aliso Creek Beach.
