Volker, Was ist Das?

Hello Stephan

thought it would be no problem for you to read this information in German language :)). To be serious, Stephan, this table is placed in the middle of the town of Heide (approx. 100km north of Hamburg), besides the market place, and tells about the history of this place: This market was noted for the first time in the year 1434, and was the meeting place for the people of the area (Dithmarschen), which had an early form of republic goverment, that means the farmers were independant and had a kind of parliament. At that time in most parts of Germany bondage was existing, but people of this area still today are known as headstrong and obstinate and dont like to be subjects.

Of course there is a market day each week, up to now.

Best regards, and if you visit my vp_lee pages there are some new pictures from MINA.

Volker
