Dear Amelia,
Thanks so much.
When walking the walk, one wouldn't want to slip and be washed into a blowhole crevice for I doubt that you would survive. As you recognize the patterns and rhythms here are not at all regular but nor are they chaotic. And the tidal pattern makes every visit a new experience.
Amelia I am so much privileged to share such images of this world with you, and I think that I must now upload some artistic images from this beach, especially for you and our arty friends.
With fondness,
Ian

Dear Mahdi,
Here you see the blows, jets or sprays of water that are created by the approaching wave hydraulically pushing water through holes, slots and tunnels in this coral reef platform.
Its a fun place to be, if you don't mind getting wet, surprised by the action or to take a little risk.
Thanks for your affirming comments.
Very best wishes from Tonga,
Ian

I pressed the BEST OF + Golden ☆ buttons right away. Over 8 blowholes performing water spray!! The enlarged version is even more exciting particularly because you have the beautiful woman and we are able to estimate the size of the spectacles and all those strange rocks!
Best wishes to Tonga ~ w☺rap☺ng

Your assessment is a great honour, w☺rap☺ng!! I was very pleased with this image and your appreciation confirms it all for me. I am pleased to be able to introduce you to this remarkable environment.
It is good to be able to explain as well as show, Mahdi. To wonder is to understand, I assert. Thanks for your comment and visit.
I am pleased that any wasted time, makes you envious, Edmundo!!! Ja, Ja! Let me assure you this is only SEMI-retirement. Which really isn't retirement except that the level of responsibility is much less. And how much I am pleased to be able to show you a place such as this.
Warmest regards to you all from Tonga,
Ian

Dubravka, Mustafa and Sig:
I am pleased that you each have responded to this unique and fascinating place. Thank you Mustafa and Dubravka...it is worth travelling this far to experience a remarkable place.
It is suggestive of Iceland, to me, Sig, in that when the volcanics and the ice or the lava flows and the ocean play together all sorts of spectacles take place, there. Here its the coral and the swell that create the fun.
Warm greetings from Tonga,
Ian
