Nice for you to be the first to comment on this Si. Like most standing stones and other megalithic monuments, no one really knows what purpose they served, but this one being an outlying one it may have aligned with a nearby stone circle to mark the equinoctial sunset, or being on the coast and at nearly 10 feet high, it may have been as prosaic as an early guide stone while sailing out at sea.
