The final waning crescent moon before the new moon, along with Venus and the constellation Orion above Mt. Adams.

Larry,, wow A brilliant capture,,hardly any movement in the star trails. The orange tint of Betelgeuse, can be seen too. Being so far away from city lights, to photograph and see a night sky like this,,, Awsome,, DJ.

Hey Larry: I haven't commented on any of your photos lately but this one cries out for a cudo. I had to put it up on my desktop wallpaper to enjoy it a little longer. Thanks for your efforts! It looks like Mt. St. Helens is your project for the summer.

As always, my best regards, Jim

Thanks Jim!

I have been spending quite a bit of time there. The next QIN calendar theme is on natural succession and what better place to see a major disturbance that at St. Helens.

Best regards, Larry
