I uploaded this image as a protest to the industrialization of some of the finest agricultural land in the world, the Oxnard Plain. I lived for six years in a rented cabin on the tiny farm in the center of the image, surrounded on three sides by acres and acres of crops. It was quiet and magical, and amazing, in that it was located only sixty miles from Los Angeles. I sadly moved away when the huge equipment came to cover the land with asphalt and cement, as you can see by the map.
sad indeed. but what a good picture. as so many in your collection, I'll add you to my favs dear Suzy :)
I am so sorry I missed replying to this one, dear Pom', and such an important one, too. Thank you so much for adding me to your favs, good friend :O)
