Andrew McKie, I also chased a toad frog for a while with my camera. They are very good at camouflage. They are like a superhero at disappearing! Your mushrooming was a great success!

aggiliki.k, thank you very much. I try. :)

You done good!! That little frog under there is really cute and he is looking the wrong way to know you are there. I love this one!

Nice shot. Frog- and mushroom-pictures always make me think of fairy-tales :)

Margot, you are making me feel better about having scared him into thinking he was going to have to escape through that tiny window. I have considered that I probably nearly gave him a heart attack.

fefie.h, once upon a time, there was a tiny frog that was also a toad frog. His name was Toad. Toad was having a rather dreary day as the rains came and came and came. He tidied his little dwelling and settled in to wait out the storm. Suddenly a giant was stomping through the forest, tromp, tromp, tromp. Poor Toad was scared but brave. He knew his camouflage was the best in the forest so he stood as still as Toad could stand. The giant was looking under every mushroom in the forest and also using a big black clicking box machine. Click, click, click. He hoped the giant would miss his toad stool, but the giant could see it was one of the prettiest in the forest. Toad froze as the big black box went click, click, click right behind him. He held his breath. Then the giant moved onto the next toadstool and went click, click, click and disappeared into the misting rain and fog of the forest. Toad lived happily ever after.

Jean, for the photo and the fairy tale you have written, a gold star. I have clicked on the little symbol - and I hope to goodness I haven't frightened the toad - again!!!

Cheers, Amelia

Oh, thank you, Amelia!! the little toad is still under there so he probably wasn't frightened as he is beginning to get used to those clicks now and possibly even enjoying the little visits.
