Thanks Bruce. What a day that was. We were just coming back from Butchart Gardens which literally was breath taking in its beauty. It seemed at the time that everywhere I looked was a Kodak Moment.

The point on the left is Helen Pt Mayne Is. the Pt. on the right is Collinson Pt Galiano IS.The low land in the background I believe is Prevost Is. and the high ground in the background is Salt Spring Island. The direction you are facing in the photo is wsw. Further the Caption says "leaving Victoria" You are well out of Victoria where this photo was taken, being 28 miles as the crow flys or 18 miles up the hwy and a further 14 miles along the ferry route to this position from Victoria. You have past a number of towns and communities since leaving Victoria. The problem is I suppose that it is referred to as the "Victoria Ferry". This leads folks to thinking that Swartz Bay is Victoria. I suggest a better caption would be "Active Pass Southern Entrance"
