Hi karenflorence; I lived in the area for 15 years; It was always restaurant as far as I know. But Tomato (the restaurant) shut down permanently when the Skytrain construction prevented access to the businesses along Cambie. It was not the only casualty; Kestrel Books is just one of the others that was forced to move away after many years in the neighborhood.
