Early morning exchanges such as "for gods sake, can I open the window? I cant breath" response--"you dare open the window, I'm freezing!" ----seems to ring a bell!!

I wonder how many property developers got rich converting this desirable chunk of real estate!!

It's quite a large development, and it's nice that they've kept the chimney and the general style of the buildings. Driving past on the road it took me a while to realise it wasn't still a working factory. (In the village where I grew up there was a similar factory making iron oxides, but after it closed it was almost completely wiped out and replaced with modern, characterless housing.)
