Hi Andrew and Nick, thanks for your comments. Studying the map won't help as these two blocks of student residences have only just been built. what drew me tot htis shot was the parallel between the wood and dark metal/window in the stairs and the block seen through the window.

Really great work, William-- how you've lined up the building outside to sit snugly in that window frame is perrrrrfection, and the way the lines sweep out to the corners of the photo while incorporating all those satisfying blocks and steps... Wow!

Oh I see what you mean! I saw the echo in the shape of the building, but even the charcoal and beige stripes are repeated in the stairs and the outside view. Very well caught!
