Dover Western Docks (and the English Channel beyond) from just to the east of the Grand Shaft on the Western Heights.
Photo shows the Clock Tower (near the centre of the image), the Southern Breakwater (upper left), the Admiralty Pier (on the right, opposite the Breakwater), the Prince of Wales Pier (to the left of the Clock Tower, and pointing towards the end of the Admiralty Pier), part of Dover Marina (specifically: the Tidal Harbour to the right of the blue edged swing bridge); the Wellington Docks to the left of the swing bridge), the old Hoverspeed (Hovercraft) apron between the Prince of Wales and Admiralty Piers, and two Cruise Liners berthed alongside the Admiralty Pier.
