Great photo of the limestone pit! Are you familiar with the coast of Morocco just to the east of here? I'm trying to identify the location of the first watercolour on this page, made about 1870:

See the Google Map there for where I believe it's generally located.

I can send you via e-mail sailing instructions for strait of Gibraltar included the location and description for White point (Punta blanca) and Red point (Punta bermeja) according to spanish hydrography service, 1883. I send you also an illustration of Ceuta (derrotero) , 1883, where you can appreciate the renegade house -Casa del Renegado- (Marabut mountain) and If you look at the right side, you will find easily geographical plot represented in watercolour. UTM coordinates Punta Blanca (White Point): 30STE86677733 Punta Bermeja (Red Point) : 30STE88147623

Thanks for visiting my gallery, I just changed the copyright for use in Wikipedia for the photo "the Dolomite limestone quarry."

Oh dear the "no derivs" is stopping me from loading. If you do decide to release this then I'm interested in any pictures in Ceuta or around the straits of gibraltar for a large project.
