Thank you all for visiting the squirrel and leaving your nice comment Steirerin, Marketa, Annie, Lasi*, **Theolfa, >|Fényképész|< (special thanks for the YS), MLVargas, Ria, Sam &Marco!

As far as I know this squirrel is the same as the red eurasain squirrel. In mountain areas their fur is a dark grey or black for reasons I do not know...

This shot was taken with a 300mm. tele-zoomlense. The squirrel was in the shadows and therefore quite dark on the original. To make it more visable I had to light up the picture. This is why there is a significant amount of noise in the picture.

Enjoy your sunday!

What a lovely picture of this cute little squirrel, Dick! It's a wonderful capture, I really love it and I'm adding it to my faves with a YS! The squirrel seems to be posing right in front of you and it's a very natural picture! Greetings, Anne

Thanks for your visit, kind comment and YS Anne! The squirrel was sitting in a tree about 6 or 7 metres from the path. It sat there very quietly, almost as if it knew we didn't have any bad intentions. He was just waiting for us to go away...! Cheers, Dick

Groeten, Erik
