Transporter Bridge

Hi Karen,

May I be the first to comment on your new photograph. I have been sat here since 5-00am Eastern Time. This is because our two cats decided that 5-00am was a pefect time for a human to get up and feed them.

Your photographs have put me in a better mood and made me forget that is still dark outside. I love taking photographs of industrial buildings just before sunrise.

If you catch it properly, Which you have, what can seem to be a solid lump of industry can take on an almost ethereal look when the lights are still on. Definitely one for my favourites.

Hi Doug thank you for those inspiring words that you have given me and my photos, your comments mean a lot to me, thank you, I've been to this transporter bridge in daylight like you say, but it didn't give the same impact as twilight i.e. the blue hour, I,ve only been into photography for 18mths I've been told I have an eye for this art, but I'm still learning, the adrenalin rush, yes, I'm glad you know what I mean, good feeling is'nt it. are you a Welsh boy?

Hi Doug time flies, it's been 22months not 18mths sorry about that, I think it's safe to say your a typical Welsh boy, Wales is Wales and I think your meaning valleys? I'm from the valleys and there's some beautiful sights for our photography, if you ever want to know of any places, I'll be happy to give you some place names. I must admit I havn't seen this one, but I have seen an almost identical one at Middlesbrough (almost every day onmy way to school when I was a lad).
