Sweet pic

Thanks Maria - this garden is one of my favorite spots in Manhattan :)

Yes wonderful statue. Seems to be alive. :-) I wonder which camera you have used?

Boris Miller on April 10, 2013

Yes, and the bubbling water, birds, flowers - all is quite alive, except for winter... I used Canon 5D with 85mm F1.8 lens at that time. :)

Thanks a lot. I am a newcomer in photography, so technical info is very valuable for me. The colours are just fantastic... I guess, paradise should be looking like this photo.

You're welcome! It sure helps to have a good equipment... We are so lucky to have places that look and feel like Haven on Earth - I'm sure you know some too :)

Maria Galushkina on April 11, 2013

Yes, sure... But this place is above the competition. :-)

I've just seen the original sculpture in the net. It looks even better in dark colours...

Yes, Maria, I agree - the place looks rather bland in those photos - Thanks! :)

Maria Galushkina on April 22, 2013

I prefer your photo. It's very very good.

Boris Miller on April 22, 2013

I'm doing my best! Glad you liked it, and even added to favorites - it's flattering. Spasibo! :))

It adds some good emotions to my day. Besides, I always have a good example of the skills I want to reach. :-)

Hi Boris, I followed your 'link' and very pleased that I did: You have captured her to perfection, sharpness of subject is excellent and the blurred background makes it all a wonderful shot.

Congratulations my friend, after seeing this and the Untermayer trio, I'm going to take a bigger interest in sculptures in future.

Another favorite for certain, - D.

What can I say David?! Whoever comes after you, will have to be very creative to top your comment - it's as good as they come :) Always good to talk to you! Cheers, B.

Hi Boris, you are right about David, i am lost for words. Too far to walk and take my own pic i added this one to my fav.

Greetings, Ed

Boris Miller on February 18, 2014

For all we know, Ed - there might be 7 of them, and one could be at a walking distance from you :) Greetings to you! B.

Hi Boris, wish it was... :) tried to find the "Untermayer fountain" over here but no succes uptil now. Also never knew we had so much statues in our own neighbourhood. And i don't mean our President....... :) Though some statues seams to be meaningless lumps of concrete, the majority are too beautiful to pass in a hurry. LIKE this one!

Greetings, Ed
