Wonderful textures and subtle colours ~ so sad
Again Nick, I think the colours come from the thin metal covering on what obviously is a lightweight aggregate. You can find details of the BBC coverage of the event here. Many of the dead were from Rogaland, and there were also some Scots too. The price of oil eh?
The Art tag would fit this splendid shot like a glove!
Very nice shot Amelia. Greetings John.
Yep...I agree with all of the above Amelia...
Top shot....see ya from Sandy ;)
The Art tag is now in position Sandy, thank you for yet another "gentle" reminder :))
Thanks for your lovely compliment - most appreciated as always :)))
Thank you John, I'm glad you opened this strange photo - it is showing part of the memorial for the lives lost in an oil field disaster.
Greetings to Holland, Amelia
Hello little Sandy, thanks for agreeing with all the previous comments ;-)
When are you leaving your beautiful Esk?
The colours are great! The structure is wonderful in that light! Nice composition! Very good Amelia!
Greetings from Ria
Eva ..... thank you. I am pleased you have viewed the Wings of Angels. The memorial is dedicated to those who lost their lives in an Oil rig disaster.
Thank you Ria. This is part of the same memorial to the victims of the oil rig disaster in the North Sea. Many lives were lost, mainly men from Rogaland, the Norwegian County where we live, but also some Scots. It is a remarkable memorial.
Beautiful texture. Reminds me of a painting.
Well seen and great capture Amelia. Great how you've managed to keep the colouring this natural.
Très bel effet !
Thanks for the new wing for the wee angel in Warriston Cemetery, Amelia. Cheers, Joe
Glad this came in useful Joe. :)))
