Smoke from Pritchard Fire

This is the present view from our deck. The smoke in the air is so think that we can barely see across the valley.

Great photo Cal but under horrible circumstances, I gather you are safe where you are, but it must be horrible with that smoke so thick in the air. Hope it clears up soon, Cheers, Dianne

Sorry to hear of your situation Cal. I can understand how you must be feeling. We went through similar conditions with smoke early this year. We have had the 2nd consecutive warmest month for Winter this August. The authorities are predicting even worse conditions for this coming Summer. Not a good sign. Cheers. M.

Hello Cal when i heard on the news there was a raging fire east of Kamloops I wondered how close it was. I guess this gives an indication and that you are keeping watch. stay safe, tery

nice shot but i know what this like to live in smoke not good you need to do a rain dance naked works best or pray for wind. LOL steve

Hi Marbiz, Itallica and Steve, I am happy to report that we had a heavy rain this evening and its still coming down. We desperately needed it. Hopefully it will help with the fire situation.

Huge fires like this are uncommon in our country. I hope you'll stay safe, Cal.

The fires and smoke are so horrid, but this photo is beautiful!

Thanks so much Jean, mother nature has come to the rescue, we had 2 days of rain, the smoke has cleared so hopefully the fires are out.
