I was stationed here from September 1955-December 1958. I was an A&E Mechanic 43151A and performed 100 hour Periodic Inspections on the 50 C-119G Flying Boxcars that were assigned to the 10th,11th,12th Troop Carrier Squadrons of the 60th Troop Carrier Wing.That big rusty Hangar you see in the for-front is where I Worked on those C-119G's.
I was stationed here in 1963-1965 with the 246th signal co. US Army. It sure brings back some memories. I remember some of the guys . Tony Tamburo, Alan Bolander. Clemmons, Pete Ingram.
I was trying to figure out from the picture , where the NCO club used to be.

Spent a year assigned to this base in 1960-61. Too bad to see it so deterioated. In the lastest photos A lot of the buildings ar already torn down.
