Another great shot for the contest. voted on this one as well. I really like the big trees with the shadows underneath, that makes a great backdrop for the deer.

Gabor Retei on October 13, 2009

Someone suggested to crop the picture down to the deer only, I kept the background, we think alike!

Thanks for the visits, kind comments and votes. Gabe

Voted on this one, too. Fallow deer are indeed beautiful, regal animals, but I hope they never escape their island confines and compete with our native Columbian blacktails!

Thanks for the visit, kind comment and support.

I had 90 minutes to photograph this group. Poses after poses! No problem! Gabe

Harry Taggart on October 20, 2009

Poor Gabe, you must be really harmless looking, our deer can smile you from a mile away. I am surrounded by 100,s and I have not even seen one for over a year??? I might have to change my soap. LOL cheers scally from glasgow.

Åse Mari Mathisen on October 20, 2009

Gabor and Scally İ am smile now and laugh. Really good to have joke here. İ think the smile or smell can be good with nice soap. Many regards to both of you from Meryem

Jujj de remek kép ! Gratulálok, ezek a szarvasok pedig nagyon éberek lehetnek...ügyes voltál. Csodás a szarvak hamvassága a sötét erdő előtt és milyen hatalmas fák!
