What a lovely place for a bit of rest and realxation Ian. Lovely horizontal reflections too. Even the bits of polythene look good in this photo :)))

Greetings my friend, Amelia

Dear Amelia,

There are many nice places to relax here in Tonga, and I would love to share them with you!

Someone thought that this would be a great venture, but!!! Note the height of the plastic that floated by and then compare that with the floor elevation at the intended restaurant/cafe! High tides and storm surges can be a bit bothersome. I thought this might be a wee contribution to GE!

Any way, it is always special to communicate with you, dear friend.

Well Ian, I suppose it could be a somewhat idiosyncratic way to do the washing up ...

Has the place ever been open, or are the diners a bit worried about the lack of life rafts ?

Dear Amelia,

A meal in Tonga may well be eaten sitting on a mat, with a banana leaf as a platter. Here at this place you might just arise at the end of a meal and let the natural elements might do the rest. Of course, if you have had some caramelized desert, faikakai, it may well have come in a plastic bag.

Bon aperitif.

Ian
