Superior!

These guys represent the epitome of what I guess I look for in a neon shot. Fairly simple, a variety of colors, unique business (not a huge modern chain), all the neon working, and, most importantly, something that I can at least get a shot of. Sometimes I'll see things that just offer no angle of a shot at all.

And I don't think that is that easy to find. At least in my area it seems to always be a chain or a bar with beer signs or too many other lights everywhere. But I keep looking.

Nice one! Pretty much all of the neon is working...nice display in the window...and a little low light in the other buildings to give some form to the location.

Howdy, JF. I know, I do rather limit myself with these criteria, but otherwise, I'd tire everyone out with what you mention. Sometimes I've taken a shot of a bar, I've got a couple up, but mostly because there were other things going on that helped balance out the bar-ness. I enjoy just trying to see things, so I guess this helps pass the time between the infrequent bona fide neon sitings. ; ) Thanks for the interest and comments!

Yeah, they clean you out at the drive in window, Norrel. I thing that neon is losing ground to progress. Sad.

You said you had been avoiding the Desert Star, I was wondering why, it looks like a lot of your night neon shots. I enjoy checking your gallery for interesting local photos. Keep up the good work.

Hello, Shawn. I can't rightly explain it, other than I guess I try and pick the smaller ones any more. I'm afraid that folks will think that I'm some sort of marketeer that's out promoting various commercial ventures with my work, and that's not what I'm trying to do. You do make a good point, it's one that seems to be right up my alley. Maybe since you've done such a good one, I'll give 'em a whirl. Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate it.
