The Clock Tower on Dover's seafront esplanade, viewed from the west.

The photo was taken from the jetty next to Dolphin Hard and shows part of the Tidal Harbour in the bottom left-hand corner.

The building at the base of the Clock Tower with the red car in front contains showers, wash-rooms and a launderette for people berthed in Dover Marina (the Marina consists of the Tidal Harbour, Granville Dock, and Wellington Dock).

On the skyline to the right of the Clock Tower and above the shower/launderette building are the Keep and Outer Bailey of Dover Castle.

The building jutting out from the left of the Clock Tower was Dover's original Life Boat Station in Victorian times (click to see the current Dover Lifeboat Station on Crosswall Quay).

The top couple of floors of Burlington House can be seen in the distance above the roof of the original Life Boat Station.

There is a sandy-coloured wall to the left of the Station above which is the white block of buildings of the Churchill Hotel.

To the left of the sandy wall (and nearer to the camera) is the seperate white block of buildings of Dover Harbour Board's, "Harbour House".

Both the Churchill Hotel and Harbour House are located on Waterloo Crescent.

To the left of Harbour House, and just above the Tidal Harbour wall, is a blue van belonging to Dover White Cliffs Tours: the embarkation point for boat trips around Dover Harbour is to the left of the van (out of shot).

Above the blue van, on the other side of the 'lamp-post', is the lime-green rear panel of Sue's Seafood Stall (complete with the flag of St George).

Out of shot to the right is the Prince of Wales Pier.
