Olá Eduardo

Era possível que houvesse uma fortaleza romana neste local, mas esta foto exibe a igreja e as ruínas de mosteiro de Whitby. O mosteiro foi constuido em AD 657 e destruido durante a **Reformação” em 1540.

Whitby era associado a pesca a baleia.

Hey!! thanks Peter this is simply fascinating..you would not think that anything could possibly change, would you?

Well take a closer look at the little houses on Haggerlythe..There are at least four more in my photo.. they were built around 9 years ago and won an award for their sympathetic design!!
