Sailors refer to this place as "Dodge City" after the old remote western town in the USA.

When I landed here in Feb 1973 there was only one runway and we were on a 707 and the pilot used more than the solid runway (we had to drag our feet to help us stop) I worked on Charlie site roof and went to the BAQs, I was lucky to be doing roofs, there was a great tradewind even though it was 120*F you had to wear foster grants but my cornea still got burnt and I have had 2 bouts of basal cell carsanoma(sp) But the snorkeling was worth it, the mantarays and sharks were only curious, it works to punch them in the snout just kidding Albany NY mcb74 charlie co
