Not so tender of a night on this island. The place is packed with rattlesnakes and tiny, meat-eating flies called midges or "no-see-'ems" whose every bite leaves you with a large welt! :)

The image was taken in 2000 on our second attempt to get to this island. On the first attempt, waves were swamping the ponga so we were forced to abandon the attempt.
