This has got to be one of my favorite places on the Mckenzie River. Every time I come by here and shoot, the river is different shade of blue.
Most of the time it's real hard to shoot this spot. Specially in direct light. Darks are to dark, light washes out the details etc.
But this day was incredible! I must have shot 50 frames at this very spot. Hoping that I could get a real good blended or HDR image out of the mix.
I have no idea why the water is so blue here. Maybe it's a mix of the green moss covered rocks and yellow sunlight. People along the trail were telling me that the short plunging falls just 20 feet up stream causes the water mix in alot or oxygene which refracts the light streaming in. Hence all the bubbles in the upper right.
Anyway this is now a favorite of mine..
Thanks for the Compliment!
