Today's mystery pic ;)

geomanncer on September 22, 2009

And the goose panicked, screaming: "I've lost one of the kids. Where's he gone!!??"

Norrel on September 22, 2009

Is it an ostrich?

someGuyinmasset on September 22, 2009

It's a feathered dolphin.

Ritva Astikainen on September 22, 2009

I thought so too, from this far ;))

diannemcd on September 23, 2009

Absolutely brilliant. Now I will go hunt for what I think it is.

not1word on September 23, 2009

It's the ghost of Christmas Past!

Norrel on September 23, 2009

It should be mapped in Loch Ness.

Cal Kimola Brown on September 23, 2009

Wow - what a great capture, at first I thought it was a whale breaching.

Itallica on September 24, 2009

Crab claw emerging

LOLOL geomancer! With snapping turtles in many ponds around here, that might not be so far off if this were a spring photo...

n1w - close, but it's the Ghost of Dinner Future ;)

and lolol to all of you Norrel, Cal, Guy, Ritva, Dianne and Tery! It's too bad this was such a crop so that the photo quality isn't so hot. It was a pretty cool catch - and of course has made my latest focus be to try to catch more of these better.

The answer of course is in the photo to the left of this one.

Thanks very much worapong!

Nawitka on September 30, 2009

:) It looks like a goose, but I saw the answer before this one. Nice catch! I think you are posting more photos than Kamaly at this point.

Bits-n-Pieces on October 3, 2009

Thanks Nawitka! I got a bunch of these. Had never occurred to me to catch one splashing like this, then I got about 10 in a day! But too far a zoom to be able to get much detail. And Kamaly's just being really indecisive with the pile that she's got to decide on, lol.
