Hi Marilyn Whiteley
Very nice theme, great color and beautiful images...
Thank you for your visit and nice comments.
Nice capture! Cheers, Christian
Thank you, İsmail, Christian, and Billy. We were at a complete stop until they passed.
Do you notice that the cattle are Brahmans) originally developed from those familiar in India? I was surprised to see them in Brazil, but apparently they stand heat better than many breeds.

Nice shot Marilyn.
Did you met John Wayne? :-)))
Best regards, Andreas.
Very impressive, it reminds me of old western movies.
Great composition. Love the soft colors in it.
I have decided this goes to my favorites.
Wonderful scene Marilyn I guess you went on a trip to Brazil. Hope you had a great time there.
Very beautiful scenery Marylin! That's where still Cowboys live ...
Greetings from Agios Fonasontas
You've got to be excited about capturing this classic shot. Well done.
An excellent shot, Marilyn!
What a very exciting moment to witness! I wish I could have been there with you! I can almost hear them now!
Very best regards,
Thank you, Andreas, Elisabeth, Margot, Erik, Agios, Hank, and Mary Alice.
After all these lovely comments, it's confession time! I was sitting in the back seat of the car, on the right-hand side. When we were stopped by the cattle drive, I took one shot through the windshield (the windscreen to some, I guess), and it came out pretty well. But then I handed my camera to my husband, asking him to lean out his window and grab a shot or two. And this is what he got! Of course it took a bit of cropping, etc., to get the image you see, and I can take credit for that, but it's Hugh who took the picture.
I certainly never expected to witness such a classic scene!
Hi Marilyn big thumbs up for Hugh than.... and you for some additional editing.
Like you say a classic scene.
Best regards, erik
Another great capture, are those cowboys called gauchos??
I found the info about the heat tolerant Indian breed cows. They look so sweet and docile. Well done Marilyn!:))
I'm glad you like this, Irene. It was an unexpected sight and, yes, I think these are gauchos. Greetings from Guelph, Marilyn
Marilyn and Hugh, impressive photo, gauchos driving cattle through the dust! Looks adventurous! Warm regards, May
