Greetings, Richard. Yes, near the airport, this year. I like the thought that we were shooting the same buffalo the same season because I so enjoy and admire your portfolio. You have wonderful photos!
My husband and I are just enjoying retirement with whatever travel we can manage--in this case, an add-on to a meeting in Salt Lake City. (We live in Ontario, so the Tetons seem close to SLC!)

God! Right in this moment I've got a cold, and just by looking at that photo my nose feels excessively disturbed (it seems like it was pretty cold and windy in that scene, wasn't it?); however, I'd get up from bed and go there in spite of any terrible consequences I may suffer just to enjoy that sight!

Thank you, Sonny and Tjeert, and especially for the Y*, Tjeert. I took some ordinary pictures of these giants a few kilometers from here, but I much prefer the atmosphere here. I'm glad you like it, too.

I simply love this kind of photos, Marilyn! It looks like a great lonesome scenery. The snow patches and bisons add to this impression and the clouds rising above the ground make it just perfect! Wonderful atmosphere you have caught here so well. Y*! My best greetings, May

Thank you May for your description and for the Y*. I also love this view.
I think you will appreciate my little story. I called the animal "bison" rather than "buffalo" because, we are taught "bison" is the correct name, and the much more commonly used "buffalo" properly refers to those animals in southern Africa, India, etc.
Imagine our surprise when we were India and heard Indian guides refer to their animals as "bison"!! The world is a very confusing place!
Very best wishes, Marilyn

Marilyn, thank you for your nice story. :-)
We also distinguish in "Bison" for the American bovine and "Bueffel", which means buffalo and which we use for the buffaloes originally from Africa and Asia.
My best wishes, May
