Thanks so much Itallica and n1w, my niece recently moved to 10 acres just outside Salmon Arm so she bought this beautiful draught horse, she weighs close to a ton (the horse that is).

Covering yourself, Cal? Great shot of her.

So a horse walks into a bar, the bartender says "Why the long face?"

Cal Kimola, on September 28, said:

5:30 am and you're already at it - good for you Guy.

Norrel, on September 28, said:

Guy obviously has had his first cup of coffee ;>)

Good portrait, Cal. Not the usual short-distance-wide-angle shot, that gives the horse a funny long face. This one is perfect.

Thanks Norrel, Ritva, Dianne, joyfotos and Vicki, I am so far behind on my comments, I've been busy with visitors and other things. Thanks for visiting while I was away.

I knew a girl that looked like this once.

When she was upset I asked, "Why the long face?"

She never spoke to me again.

Cal Kimola, on October 6, said:

Well this girl was begging for apples. the ground on our side of the fence was littered with apples and plums, She got a few but we didn't want to give her a tummy ache.

Itallica, on October 6, said:

Cal you gave away your secret! We thought it was your charm that got the pony to pose :)

Well that too Itallica.

Thanks Jean, my niece is so happy to finally have a horse of her own - she is a fabulous rider and has worked as a wrangler on various ranches in BC.

Greetings from Arkansas, USA, Cal Kimola Great perspective on this shot. You have good imagination.

Were the weeds really that tall or was this picture "photoshopped"? Either way it's very good picture. I like it.

P.S. You've got some witty friends.

Cal Kimola, on November 29, said:

Hi Geezer Vz yes the weeds are really this tall and this is a draft horse so she is very tall. No Photoshop on this one. My friends on Panoramio are as funny as you get- great sense of humor, one and all. I can't keep up. Give it a try. Thanks so much for your visit.
