Torre Abbey is the oldest building in Torquay. It has a story spanning over 800 years and was once the most important Abbey of its kind in England, the brothers who lived here then were known as the White Canons.
The Spanish Barn was used to hold 397 prisoners from the Spanish Armada.
Very beautiful nightly photograph.

Thank you ©junebug. for your compliment. It's much appreciated. I only rode past there every school day for four years then drove past occasionaly when visiting for thirty years and only noticed it Yesterday as i rode buy. I thought there was only a large Norman barn there. Another of Torbays hidden treasures.
Very good lighting, very good photo!
