John Goodall, on October 16, said:

The gravestone in the foreground commemorates Charles Darwin's brother Erasmus ("Ras") (1804 - 1881) and his wife Emma (1808 - 1896). It refers to Charles (1809 - 1882) being buried in Westminster Abbey. Joseph Parslow, the Darwin family's butler since 1839, believed that Darwin would rather have been buried locally with his brother and children.
