Q:How many lakes are there on the left image? Hint: See the Near Infra Red image on the right :)

Q: Why plants are light colored? A: Because they radiate a lot of infrared. Especially recent growth of the vegetation has more IR radiation.

Q:Why water is so dark? A:Water seem to absorb IR, and not releases back in Near IR range may be in Far IR, which is heat.

Vasco, as you said first as is and than IR. But this pair is not actually showing the true penetration power of IR. Later I will upload one such pair. Take care, Volkan.
