A place with many memories! My wife and I spent time there just after marriage on our way down to Rio. I have photos of that wall on my page from 2007 and from forty years earlier. There were trees around the pool back then and we had the choice of breakfast in the room, by the pool or in the dining room.
In 2007 I had to return and was very pleased to see the wall still there. The breakfast options had changed, but it was still very good with even more choices. I'd go onto my balcony first thing each morning to see the new ships that had arrived in the night waiting to go on in. There were three or four each morning.

I just added a shot from 1968 so you can see the trees. It shows the ship in the lower left here. Happy memories.
