Is this a wonderful reflection or is it a tricky one. Well done, love it no matter which way. Cheers, Dianne

Hi Dianne - this is completely as shot. I hadn't noticed the amazing face - with the pupils of the eyes even! - until I got home and rotated things. The un-cropped line of reflections had a bunch of faces that weren't so obvious, but what's interesting is that below this face I see a completely different gremlin in the thumbnail that I can't see even at photo-page size.

There's not just a face, it is a whole body, with wings and arms, and feet (all ferns) it is amazing.

There is a lot going on in this one, Bits. Gigabits!

Bits-n-Pieces on October 4, 2009

Thanks n1w! yeah, this one turned out to be a darned fertile pond edge! This is just a crop of a much longer section, and there are loads of critters and warlocks and spoiled children in the whole thing. But it was the big smiling face with detailed eyes drawn with fine lines that grabbed me the most.

And lol Dianne - gee, now that you say that, I can see a few gremlins that can be described like that. Now that you describe that gremlin, I see a little imp bending over and screaming at us, with its fern arms out to the side that is just above the main face.

Just incredible, I'm glad I stopped for a look.

I hadn't even seen the smile face until you said that.

My favourite is the wild boar with it's fluffy green ears, although I'm not sure if this species roams the woods of New England.

Hi Cal - Thanks!

So funny n1w - the line-drawn face with those eyes is the first thing that jumps out at me. I think these make a pretty good Rohrshatz test!

And Norrel - are you referring to the person in the Carnival mask? Though of course those wild boars roam the woods in New England - how else could I have gotten the photo of it? ;)

Aaaaaaa NOW I see :D

Wow, the ferny wing and the eyes ... this is really wonderful Bitsy! Wild boar ... gotta keep looking :)
