Some people tried to figure how the movement of the boat in the narrow channel caused the distortion of the reflections. I just enjoyed it!
I´m agree with you, Marilyn. Waves are sympathetic
Very nice picture!
Thank you for your visit and comments. Greetings from Canada.
This reflections for me looks very similar to Latvian reflections! :D
Water surface looks there like I seen in old masters oil paintings!
My husband, a hydrologist, understood why this particular water pattern was happening as we passed through the fairly narrow canal. I only enjoyed the beauty of it!
I am learned rules of physics in highscool too, but I prefer do not think about wave lenghts, just keep enjoy great ripples and colours! :)
Lovely reflections Marilyn. You certainly get around, don't you! It's a lovely photo, colour- and reflection-wise.
Well, I've learnt something from the comments above, today: Latvian and Russian water reflections are very similar. I never associated reflections with different countries and now I will have to study South African reflections very closely before total confusion sets in. ;oD
Warm greetings, Hazel (reflecting deeply..)
Many thanks, Hazel, for your deep reflections!
For many years, my husband and I were somewhat tied down by responsibilities. Since his retirement we've been making the most of our opportunities to travel, sometimes on holidays and sometimes one of us tagging along when the other attends a professional meeting. (Fortunately he's a wonderful travel companion. I think it comes partly from his engineering training. If we encounter a difficulty, he doesn't panic; he thinks of it as a problem to be solved!!)
Это по дороге в Кижи?
Really beautiful shot...
Why am I not surprised, Marilyn?
I was checking out the Panoramio tag "river" and from the panoply of thumbnails, pulled this one as the most beautiful, and it's yours!
This is a perfect marriage of art and science.
Greetings from Miami,
Very Beautiful,breathtaking photo.
Very beautiful composition. Extremely smooth transitions of color, like an artist painted on the surface of the water ...
