Dear Nick - rugged describes it well ... it's a wonder I didn't join these Turnstones in flight. But the lead weights on my tail, ensuring horizontal images, paid off handsomely on Sunday ;-)
Another gold star? Soon I will be able to dispense with the lead, and gold is far more valuable too :)))
Oh neat shot Amelia...what a lovely coastline... ;)
See ya from Sandy ;)
Hi Sandy, I often feel that my use of English is so antiquated, so I love the neat shot comment :)))
I'm so pleased you liked the flight of the turnstones and the coast here - it isn't always so wild :)))
Hi Amelia, Thanks for visiting. This is such a beautiful scene. I can feel the wind, feel the spray and hear the pound and hiss of the surf. Very nice. It is snowing outside my window.
Hi Rich, thanks for that - it was a wonderful stormy day, and your description just fits the bill perfectly. But we're not getting ice just yet :)))
A beautiful, very well composed photo, Amelia! The birds enforce the impression of a stormy sea. Warm regards, May
Thank you May, both for your compliment and the warm regards. Just the things for a cold but bright Norwegian day :))
Friendly greetings, Amelia
Amazing picture, great shot! Congratulations!
Thank you Imre, I'm so pleased you like the photo, it was a very stormy day :))
Thank you Olga, stormy weather can be so exciting ... I was nearly blown away by the wind :)))
That sure looks a storm. steve
beautiful but cold sea. where to swimming?
It was enough to take me off my feet occasionally Steve, but the waves along the frilly Norwegian Coast are not much good for surfing. They break very quickly over rocks and never reach massive proportions. The para-surfers like them though :)))
great bird action ~
Thank you Rockall. I'm sorry to have missed your comment. I have been swimming in the sea in Norway, but not often ;)
Just the sort of weather to blow all the cobwebs away after the Christmas break dear Nick. The bird action isn't quite as interesting as KC'S though ;))
Congratulations, this photo is beautiful.YS Monique
Many thanks Moniqueand especially for the Y*. That has made the walk by the sea in the storm very worthwhile :)
Well I have been here before and already this shot nestles in my favourites ~ there is nothing quite as good as a stormy beach and to have all the birds as well ~ takes the biscuit ~ I'm sure my like will be a crumb of comfort to you :) ~ Bravo LGM xx
